Support Group for Parents & Carers
Sunshine Butterflies provides a support group to assist families living with disability and is called the My Time ”Have a Chat” support program. My Time “Have a Chat” is a part of the My Time national initiative funded by the Parenting Research Centre, which provides support for mums, dads, grandparents and anyone caring for a person with a disability or chronic medical condition. The support group provides workshops, information sessions and guest speakers to cover topics relevant to disability, which will offer parents, family members and carers gain useful information and ideas as well as learn practical solutions in a supportive environment where you can socialise, share ideas and exchange tools and tips from others who understand the caring role.
Kawana My Time ”Have a Chat” is held on a Thursday morning from 10am – 12pm, at Mykes Cafe, 5 Grand Pde, Parrearra. Birtinya. The Cooroy My Time “Have a Chat” is held each Wednesday from 10am – 12pm at Cooroy Hotel.
