Patron – Bob Abbot
Ambassadors – Daryl Brown
Daryl is the National Youth Manager World Vision Australia. After quite a varied professional life ranging from Account Management in the Insurance Industry to training and Coaching Managers and Executives in Small to Medium Enterprises, Daryl then accepted a position with World Vision in 2003 as the Youth/Church Segment manager in the Queensland State Office. With growth in both of these portfolios, the roles where separated into two positions and Daryl remained committed to working with the Youth of QLD to use his passion to educate and inform young Australians about the social injustices taking place against children in developing countries. With growing reach into QLD schools and increasing fundraising outcomes through the Forty Hour famine, Daryl was invited in 2010 to take on World Visions National Youth Manager role with a key function being the mentoring and development of each States Youth Manager. Under Daryl’s leadership, 2011 has seen an outstanding Forty Hour Famine Outcome raising close to 5 Million dollars from schools with each State achieving its best Famine result ever. Now living on the Sunshine Coast, Daryl is keen to use the skills and experience gained to help Sunshine Butterflies fulfill its mandate to the community.
