Commando Campers

About Commando Campers

Our campers are having a ball in this innovative, 8-week camping and outdoor program.

Learn the basics of setting up a campsite and erecting a tent, how to build a fire and how to extinguish a fire safely, how to boil a billy, how to cook on a campfire and other cooking methods and practice basic first-aid techniques.
Enjoy being at one with nature, in the great outdoors, and experience cooking damper, orienteering, bushwalking, fishing, camping out with friends and much more!
We are delighted to deliver the FIRST EVER camping program in Queensland for people living with a disability. What a great opportunity to have fun with friends in our beautiful local environment.

The course will culminate with an overnight campout at Boreen Point on the shores of beautiful Lake Cootharaba, where you will enjoy star gazing at night, and spotlighting and observing our beautiful nocturnal wildlife.

We are so excited to offer this program at ‘Our Backyard’ and we can’t wait to see what our ‘Commando Campers’ get up to in the great outdoors!
